The lovely Mayor Steve of Aylesbury came over to Ivy Cottage last week to meet the house and enjoy a few nice treats, sweats and tea with everyone. We very much enjoyed the company of Mayor Steve and wish him well on his new chapter as since he has passed on the Mayoral torch. The below passage is from the Mayor of Aylesbury social media page. 
“I enjoyed my visit to Ivy Cottage on Friday. I met some of the residents at Live in the Park last year and I promised to visit. I’m so glad I did! Ivy cottage is one of several reach-Disability Care homes in Bucks with residents who have some form of disability, challenging behaviours and autism and live in a peer group environment. Over a cuppa we laughed and chatted about all sorts of things from holidays to studying and even climbing Snowdon and their own bake off challenge! I loved hearing about their enrichment activities from college to event days and parties, from their personal perspectives and they had some insightful questions for me! I’m looking forward to a return visit and another enjoyable afternoon!”
